Kirk Franklin’s Son Arrested
Kerrion Franklin, son of legendary gospel singer, Kirk Franklin, was allegedly arrested in connection to the murder of a woman. Kerrion was booked and charged with three felonies after being detained when police spotted a pistol in his vehicle. Initially, he was supposedly pulled over for simple traffic violations. However, the car he was driving happened to belong to a missing female. The woman is rumored to have been murdered, so Franklin is being held in Texas while police further investigate.
Kerrion and his father, Kirk Franklin, have had a tumultuous relationship to say the least. In the past, the 33 year old Reality TV figure publicly exposed his father and mother to accusations of abuse, mistreatment, and violence. Furthermore, Kerrion went as far as releasing a taped conversation between himself and the gospel singer on Instagram.

“This is why I’m done. No father should speak to their children like this,” Franklin’s son said in the video, “If I have any issues it’s because of this type of treatment that I deal with behind closed doors.” The conversation then gets out of hand as Kirk Franklin shouts, “I will break your neck ni***, don’t you ever disrespect me.” Kerrion delivers one more last word right before the call ends abruptly. “I didn’t,” he angrily replies.
Kirk Franklin would release a statement days later that read, “We’ve tried for many years through counseling, through therapy, to try to rectify this private family matter,” he continued. “Recently, my son and I had an argument that he chose to record. I felt extremely disrespected in that conversation and I lost my temper and I said words that are not appropriate.”
Lastly, Kerrion Franklin recently revealed his sexuality on the reality show Bad Boys of LA. In short, it will be very interesting to see how this story unfolds.
