Coincidentally, even though him and Ice Cube have beef, Common is one of the few rappers to have successfully bridged the gap between hip-hop and Hollywood. The Chicago rapper has starred in pretty much every different genre of film, and has even won an Oscar for “Glory” off the “Selma” soundtrack.
