Gucci Mane Dethrones NBA YoungBoy on YouTube

Gucci Mane Dethrones NBA YoungBoy on YouTube

After NBA Youngboy unleashed his vicious diss track, I Hate Youngboy, targeted at almost every everyone, Im pretty sure he had anticipated return fire. So far, Lil Durk, Boosie Badazz and Gucci Mane, Migos, and Lil Yachty Announce ‘Glacier Boyz’ Release Datehave all replied to their names being mentioned in the song. In fact, Gucci Mane’s response titled “Publicity Stunt” happens to be the #1 trending music video on YouTube. The video amassed over 2.5 million views in just a day, and has dethroned NBA YoungBoy for that spot.

On the song, Gucci Mane focuses on the fact the NBA YoungBoy once proclaimed to “feel like he was Gucci Mane in 06.”  He also raps, “Why you diss me for publicity, n-gga?/Is you in the streets or a industry n-gga?/Is you my fan or my enemy, n-gga?/My money too grown to be kiddin’ with n-ggas,” Gucci rapped combating YoungBoy stating he “used to fuck with Gucci ’til I seen he like them pussy n-ggas.”

Guwop IS Back.. Gucci Mane Dethrones The YoungBoy

Were not sure if the timing of these diss records are part of the latest album rollouts for these artists. But, it does seem like a bit of a coincidence that these songs seemingly drop right before a project does.

Recently, NBA YoungBoy and rapper DaBaby have released a collaborative effort titled Better Than You. The 12 track offering shows two rappers at the top of their game going back and forth dropping potent street tales. Although the project has received great reviews, NBA YoungBoy has been called out for what people say is “copying” rapper Playboi Carti’s rhyme style on songs.

Lastly, It looks like their joint album is on pace to sell 35k the first week. A number far lower than many would’ve expected with the magnitude of these two artist. Regardless of numbers, joint efforts between artists are always appreciated here at HHMW. Hip Hop needs more unity!
