Fabolous released his debut album “Ghetto Fabolous” on 9/11 too. At the time, the Brooklyn based lyricist was one of the hottest young rappers in hip-hop. His flow and delivery was exciting, and he delivered a solid first LP that featured a fair share of memorable bangers. The top standouts from “Ghetto Fabolous” include: “Can’t Deny It,” “Trade It All,” and “Young’n (Holla Back).”

While some may argue that dropping an album the same day as a national tragedy can hinder and taint the project, some can beg to differ. While 9/11 will always hold an infamous place in New York City history, so will the two local homegrown lyricists that dropped dope projects on the same day in the midst of the chaos.
