Sheff G Shares Video Playing Grand Theft Auto In Prison

Sheff G shares video from Rikers Island

Brooklyn rapper, Sheff G,  is currently serving time (two years) for gun possession. However, he took to his Instagram to post himself looking rather comfortable playing Grand Theft Auto V on a rather large screen in his cell. How the rapper got a Playstation 4 on the inside is beyond me, but the video he posted tells it all.  Rumor has it, Sheff has also managed to cop an older version of NBA 2K and an extra controller. In his caption he asks “Who trying to get on GTA with me?”

Sheff G Shares Video Gaming On Rikers Island

Since when have they started allowing video game consoles into Rikers Island? Is this one of the perks that come with being a rapper? Sheff G pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree last October and was sentenced to two years in jail. I see why these younger artist don’t fear prison as much. I mean, If there are video games and social media at your disposal, there isn’t much reason to avoid it, as was the case before.

Sheff G is signed to Winner Circle/RCA Records. He recently release a new song and video titled “Break From It” on all streaming platforms. This kid has a bright future in the music business if he could keep his nose clean. Let’s hope he doesn’t get too comfortable in there playing those video games.  That kind of complacency will make one forget the harsh realities of losing your freedom.

I’m still a bit taken back by this. PS4s in Prison? Wow!
