Young Thug’s career is on the up and up. After getting rave reviews for his project Up and blessing Kanye West with several features on The Life of Pablo, the Atlanta rapper’s stock is really high right now. His stock is to the point that he’s easily nabbing features from legends in the realm of music.

Industry legend and co-founder of 300 Entertainment — the home of Young Thug — Lyor Cohen, reportedly set up a FaceTime conversation between the mercurial rapper and Elton John. John’s fandom for Thug appears legit as he admitted to being an avid listener of his music during an interview with Noisey back in December. During the conversation, John sent over the instrumental to his 1972 hit “Rocket Man” for Thug to rap over. According to sources close to Thug’s party, the rapper was “singing” and described his verse as “really ambient and amazing.”

Can this mean more collaborations to possibly come between Elton John and Young Thug? Only time will tell, but what we can say is that this is a pretty huge co-sign. SHARE with your friends.
