On July 17, 1990 BDP (or “Boogie Down Productions”) released their fourth studio album under the Jive/RCA records imprint with the in-house crew of D-Nice/ KRS-One and DJ Scott La Rock. The record touched on a range of issues (both political and social) afflicting the black community and more.

The BDP crew did not stray away from topics that would raise eye brows or that were socially correct with doing what their heart and soul told them. This album rose to #9 on the top R&B/Hip Hop charts and continued to go on and selling over 600,000 more, making it a RIAA certified gold album.
