Legendary soul singer Bobby Womack passed away this past Friday (June 27) at the age of 70.
The Los Angeles Times states the cause of death is unknown even though Womack was diagnosed with colon cancer back in 2012.
Bobby struggled with multiple health problems throughout his life … including diabetes, pneumonia, colon cancer and the early signs of Alzheimer’s.
Womack reconnected with the younger generation when his hit song If You Think You’re Lonely Now was remade by K-Ci Hailey from the groups K-Ci and Jo Jo and also Jodeci.
The singer’s sister said he died in his sleep, peacefully.
R.I.P Bobby Womack.
