For as long as fast food restaurants have existed, there has been a long standing “beef” between popular and famed franchises McDonald’s and Burger King. Some will say they prefer McDonald’s crispy fries and others Burger Kings flame broiled burgers. Either way, it seems like the beef may soon be over.

Through the partnership between the burger restaurants, the goal is to open and operate a pop-up restaurant in Atlanta, GA for one day (depending on how successful it is or not) staffed by employees from both chains and selling a burger called the McWhopper, which if you didn’t already guess is a combo of the Big Mac and The Whopper, respectively.

In addition to the announcement of the collaborative burger, the United Nations has dubbed Sept. 21 as World Peace day. And in taking advantage of the day, the restaurants are planning the opening of the pop up in a parking lot smack dab in the middle of both chains.
What do you think about the McDonald’s and Burger King teaming up to release this burger? Personally, although a great idea, I feel like it might make you sick. Two burgers from two different chains…na, I’m good.
