Rick Ross may be in the best shape of his life now, but prior to his lifestyle turn around, he was known for being “the biggest boss that you’ve seen…” and although that may sound good, it wasn’t as good as it was cracked up to be. After a staggered timeline of health issues over the past few years, Rozay took his fitness and wellness into his own hands.

Back in mid-2014, Miami rapper Rick Ross decided to take back his health after suffering from two seizures that were almost back to back. His first step was to change his lifestyle. First, he stopped drinking soda, eating bread, white rice and fish fillets and began drinking less alcohol. He also said it’s better to eat heavier meals earlier in the day. As a result, he said he’s able to burn calories faster. Rozay also cut out eating late and introduced more water to his diet.
In addition to his diet, the Grammy nominated rapper also credits a Cross fit program that was introduced to him in 2013 by Reebok, which he changed to “Ross Fit.” No different than traditional Cross Fit, “Ross Fit” is a highly active workout plan where Ross completes a series of exercises within a 20-minute span, including pushups, sit-ups, boxing, squat jumps and Olympic-style weightlifting.

What do you think about Rick Ross’ weight loss? Do you think other overweight celebrities should take a page from his book, hopefully to later use their celebrity and inspire others?
