Despite breaking the Internet because of his decision to release his highly-anticipated album The Life of Pablo on Tidal, pundits are pondering whether Kanye’s rash decision may have backfired against him. The Verge received a statement from Tidal and the company said that they do “share streaming data with Nielsen Music unless requested not to by an artist.” You have to wonder if Ye’ is perhaps embarrassed by his meager performance numbers-wise. This doesn’t come as a complete shocker, considering Beyonce also blocked her sales release numbers for her controversial single “Formation.” Last week, Kanye revealed that he would drop a new album later this summer titled, Turbo Graphx 16, sowe’ll see if he elects to follow the same blueprint this time around.
