In 2010, Ryan Leslie was robbed of his laptop and external hard-drive in Germany and offered $20k for a reward. When everyone went mum, he upped his offer to $1 million. His laptop was found a month later by an auto-mechanic but he refused to pay up. He went to court and lost his case. He was forced to pay up $1 million plus interest.
