Following an interesting and scary health scare last year, NBA power forward Chris Bosh has new role and fresh perspective on life. After being diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism—a blood clot that forms in another part of the body and eventually blocks the artery to the lung, which is an extremely dangerous condition and is responsible for thousands of deaths per year—Bosh’s outlook on life and the things that really matter have completely changed.
Following his scare, Bosh says:
“Things aren’t as bad as you think they are. Each day that you’re healthy, each day that you have a chance to do things that you really love, especially if you’re living out your dream, that’s a good day.”
