From time to time, whether as a child or an adult, we’ve looked to the sky and wished that it could something to our benefit could fall from the sky and make out day or life a little better. Recently for a few inmates at an Ohio correctional institution, something along those lines happened.

Officials say that a drone dropped a package of drugs into the Mansfield Correctional Institution yard while inmates were outside, which sparked a fight amongst inmates. The packaged contained small amounts of weed, heroin and tobacco and fell from a drone into a yard of over 100 inmates.

There’s no confirmation on if the drugs where intended for the inmates, but a spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, JoEllen Smith said this is the latest in series of attempts to deliver prison contraband via drones and Ms. Smith said the agency is taking steps to stop drones before they enter the grounds of prisons.
Hmmmmm, we showed you a video a couple of weeks ago about a drug delivery in the hood from by a drone and, given the nature of this story, we’re positive we’ll see more to come.
