JAY Z is notorious for being very private and, to some, elusive. From dating and later marrying Beyoncé, working on/releasing new music, to later jumping on the Twitter bandwagon as he tweets once in a while. Despite being so secretive, it seems like Hov has decided to join another social media app…or has he.

On Saturday, Shawn “JAY Z” Carter joined Instagram with the handle @Hovsince96 — something that many of us, probably didn’t expect to ever see happen. With Saturday also being the birthday of Michael Jackson, his first post was a picture of Michael Jackson from Hot 97’s Summer Jam with the caption:
Happy Birthday to the King! This may be my first and last post.
Within a matter of hours, the Brooklyn rapper had already amassed over 100K followers. Soon after the account was deactivated (we’re not sure why!) but it has many of us scratching our heads.

Maybe Jigga will rejoin? Who knows — until then, keep your eyes peeled.
