Kanye West has reportedly cut ties with longtime manager Izvor “Izzy” Zivkovic. This marks the end of a business relationship between the two that has lasted over the span of eight years, as he is thought to have joined Kanye’s team around his 2010 release of the album My Beautiful, Dark, Twisted Fantasy.
Zivkovic is a relatively elusive figure in the music industry. Not much is known about him, other than the fact that he runs the company Split Second Management, which manages artists such as Arcade Fire, Banks, and Kevin Garrett.

It is reported that Kanye will now be managed solely by Scooter Braun, who joined West’s team in May 2016. Braun owns two record labels, School Boy Records and Raymond-Braun Media Group (a joint venture he has with Usher). Three of the most notable acts represented by Braun aside from Kanye are Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Martin Garrix. It is said that Braun was not involved in the shake-up of Kanye’s management.
In a 2016 interview with Charlie Rose, Scooter Braun explained the beginning of his business relationship with Kanye and heaped praise on him as an artist and an individual. At one point in the interview, Braun gave this message:
”I want to help take his journey to where he wants to go… Whether it be with apparel, whether it be with the idea of creativity and putting stuff into the world that changes and shapes culture for a positive way. That’s his goal. He wants to really be a positive force in the world in the most significant way possible.”

The reason for the split between West and Zivkovic remains unknown, and neither party has commented on the situation. In fact, Kanye has been keeping an ultra-low profile on all fronts as of late, as he’s deleted his social media and seemingly removed himself to an obscure location somewhere around Jackson, Wyoming. Many believe that he’s working hard on new music during his time in the remote region, as various artists like Nas, Kid Cudi, Travis Scott, and others have been spotted in pictures reportedly in the same area.
