Kodak Black is letting the system stop his shine. Even though Kodak is currently locked up, his producer Dyryk recently made a post on Instagram letting the public know that Kodak just recorded a couple verses over the phone.
The video post was made on April 3 with caption “@kodakblack Recorded a couple verses over the phone yesterday got me ready. About to smack all of ya’ll with another Stay Tuned.” See the original post below.

Kodak Black was arrested on January 18 at his Florida home when police raided his house after an Instagram Live video showed him smoking around his son and holding handguns. He was arrested on charges that included grand theft of a firearm, two charges of possession of a weapon or ammo by a Florida delinquent adult felon, possession of cannabis over 20 grams, child neglect without great bodily harm and two counts of parole violation, according to the Broward’s Sheriff’s Office. He is currently being held without bond.

Incarceration couldn’t stop Kodak from flexing though. Shortly after his arrest, Kodak dropped his Heart Break Kodak album, which was touted as his debut R&B album. He was also able to get his weapons possession, grand theft of a firearm, and child neglect charges dropped. Unfortunately, Kodak was also sentenced to 30 days of solitary confinement during his stint for making an unauthorized three-way call from jail, but was eventually allowed to return to general population early.
Aside from his telephonic studio sessions, Kodak is also pursuing a GED. He’s been granted access to a tutor for his studies, and his legal team has requested that he have access to a computer to aid his studying. There’s no word on when Kodak will be released yet, but stay tuned for more updates!
