Last year, Mendeecees was released on $600,000 bond, which his wife, Yandy Smith, paid $200,000 of at the time of his temporary release. He took a plea deal, which involves the decreased sentencing, as well as handing over all of his earnings from the reality show and any bookings following to the federal government.
