Mobb Deep celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the release of their classic album The Infamous. The album which helped transition the Queens duo from underground hip-hop duo into commercial success featured appearances from many notable artists including Raekwon the Chef, Nas, Ghostface Killah, Big Noyd and Q-Tip who also served as producer for several of the album’s classic cuts. The album was released on April 25th, 1995 via Loud Records and spawned classic hits like “Survival of the Fittest,” “Eye For a Eye(Your Beef Is Mines)” and “Shook Ones Part II.” It’s also fair to say that The Infamous album served as a template for many of today’s new hip-hop groups to follow.
