So, should hip hop truly support him?

After court documents were released years ago, showing all of the evidence against Kellz and his sexual assault cases with minors, which even involved him waiting outside of a local high school to pick up female students, it’s safe to say he shouldn’t be safe from the slander. As he walked off the set of his Huff Post Live interview recently, as he was being addressed about the topic, it proves that this man believes that his music makes him untouchable. Of course, hip hop has been praising R. Kelly hits for years, and continues to call upon some of his biggest records at times, but to continue to support his future music endeavors says more about hip hop culture than it does R. Kelly. In the cases of an artists such as Chris Brown, who went through years of slander, blackballing, and even a short jail bid, after assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna, then why has R. Kelly still been able to flourish through his own crimes? It’s about time we wave the flag on the support of Kellz.
