This year, a lot of movie critics and fans have been in an uproar after the nominations for the upcoming Academy Awards came out. While a lot of great films were nominated, people couldn’t help but notice that there were no black actors nominated in any of the prospective categories. While Straight Outta Compton was the highest-grossing movies of the year, and Sylvester Stallone was nominated for his supporting role in the Michael B. Jordan-starring Creed film, the hashtag #OscarsSoWhite commenced for the second year in a row.
