Way before social media and the Paranormal Activity‘s and The Conjuring‘s of the world, we kids got out our scare fix from R.L. Stine’s creepy and haunting Goosebumps books and now, 10+ years after its heightened success, the world is getting its first Goosebumps big screen movie.

Produced by Sony Pictures the movie will star Jack Black as a fictional version of the series’ author, R.L. Stine. The premise of the movie will be centered around the classic franchise literally coming alive to feast on our flesh. So, yup, that means, “Night of The Living Dummy,” “Say Cheese and Die,” “The Ghost Next Door” and more all coupled into a spine-tingling 2-hour flick.

The movie is set to release Halloween 2015 at theaters nationwide. The good news is, in case you forgot the book’s storyline, you’ll have some time to catch up on the series.
