50 Cent’s hand in SMS Audio is one of the contributing factors to him leaving Interscope Reacords. 50 Cent’s bosses Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine felt tension due to their status as competitors with Beats By Dre. So, Fif and Dr. Dre decided to part ways. 50 Cent was once involved with Floyd Mayweather’s TMT Promotions until a publicized fall-out between both parties led to the rapper starting his own company, SMS Promotions.
