In 2007 you couldn’t go anywhere with out hearing “A Bay Bay.” The record was, and still is, a hip hop smash that came from Shreveport, Louisiana native, Hurricane Chris (and produced by Phunk Dawg). The record would hit #3 on U.S. Billboard Hot Rap Tracks and #7 on US Billboard Hot 100.

What people didn’t know is that the record was actually talking about the popular Heavy Hitter DJ Bay Bay, who’s better known as the street A&R and known for breaking many hip-hop acts in the clubs and radio airwaves. A hint to why Hurricane said in the track, “A Bay Bay, turn that up.” The record brought Hurricane lots of fame and notoriety, but there wouldn’t be any music after from Hurricane with the success of “A Bay Bay.”

If you remember this smash hit SHARE with a friend who probably walked in the club screaming, “A Bay Bay.” LOL!
