50 Cent recently sat down with Jalen Rose and David Jacoby for ESPN’s show Grantland. He touched on everything from boxing as a young teenager to his new upcoming movie Southpaw, co-starring Jake Gyllenhaal. 50 Cent compared old school lyricism in hip-hop to today’s bouncy and heavy trap music. Fif claimed that although he likes some of today’s beat heavy hip-hop, he’s more of a fan of the lyricism.

50 Cent also revealed that his infamous “How To Rob” record in just half an hour while on his way to the studio. He also spoke about why it was important for him to get some of his tattoos removed for business reasons. Also, he reveals who he considers to be the King of New York in music.
