Hate her or love her, Iggy Azalea is making history this year as an emerging rapper and a force in the music industry. At last night’s American Music Awards, Iggy walked away with the “Favorite album – rap/ hip-hop” and “Favorite artist – rap/ hip-hop” awards. This was big for the Australian rapper considering she beat out hip-hop powerhouses Drake and Eminem in both categories. Following last night’s AMA’s, people are questioning Iggy’s success even more wondering if she deserves it all. Iggy Azalea has taken a lot of backlash this year from the media as well as her fellow rappers including Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg and more recently Eminem.
