During the 2014 BET Awards, Nicki Minaj delivered a long speech that many assumed was targeted at new comer Iggy Azalea.
“What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it,” she said.

But on Wednesday, Nick Minaj took to Twitter to address the allegations and to shed light on the subject.
“The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different. I will always take a stance on women writing b/c I believe in us!” Nicki Minaj tweeted.
Going on to say…“I believe we’re smart enough to write down our own thoughts and perspective, just like the men do. I’ve been saying this for 5 YEARS.”
She also stated that she has publicly congratulated Iggy for selling 2 million single of her #1 Billboard hit Fancy so there you have it.
