Meet Tupac’s Actor in ‘Straight Outta Compton’

Tupac’s birthday this week inspired a lot of breaking news in hip hop. For starters, a former LAPD detective claims to have inside information on who set up the fatal 1996 Las Vegas shooting. On a brighter note, we finally get to meet the actor who is playing Shakur in the upcoming N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton.

Entertainment Weekly reports Marcc Rose will be playing the transcendent icon in the highly anticipated film. Ironically, Ice Cube revealed they filmed the Tupac scene on the late rapper’s actual birthday. Rose followed up with a similar Instagram post showing love to the beloved artist.
