Cassidy was convictedofinvoluntary manslaughter in the shooting of 22-year-old Desmond Hawkins. He was sentenced to11.5 to 23 months behind bars, plus probation. Hisdefense attorney, Fortunato Perri, said Cassidy will get a minimum of seven months credit for time the time heserved during the trial and will be eligible for parole in the near future.
