It was an All-Star lineup at the Theater at Madison Square Garden for Snoop Dogg and Diddy’s “The Tip Off” concert on Thursday night. The two hip-hop giants brought out all their celebrity friends to kick off the 2015 Allstar Weekend in New York City. Diddy opened his set with the now notorious video of Suge Knight dissing the east coast at the 1995 Source Awards. The video is famous for igniting what would become a bicoastal war between the east and west coasts that would spark several tragic events. However, today that war is long dead and Diddy and Snoop proved that two artists from two different coasts can come together on one stage and move a huge crowd.
Diddy brought out notable artists like Kanye West, Busta Rhymes, Jermaine Dupri, Nas, Faith Evans and Lil Kim who tore the house down. Diddy also brought out his youngest son Christian Combs who wowed the crowd with his smooth dance moves that he obviously inherited from his old man. California King, Snoop Dogg made the crowd go crazy when he brought out his mentor and Hip-Hop’s first billionaire, Dr. Dre to perform their classic hits. Snoop also brought out T.I. to perform his hit “About The Money.” All in all, New York City and the west coast definitely represented last night for all the coasts worldwide.
