Despite the LP intended to hit home more for women, the genre transcendent project also gracefully broke through gender.

Lauryn Hill’s debut album earned her five awards in the 1999 Grammys. To this day, especially in an era where hip hop is more sexualized than ever, fans of our culture are praying for another project to drop with just as heavy as an impact as The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill. While L Boogie has had her fair share of legal and personal woes since the 1998 release, hip hop will always remember this classic album. Thank you, Lauryn Hill!
