N.W.A debut album

In 1998, N.W.A released their debut album Straight Outta Compton and received poor sales first week, however they have gone on to sell over 3 million copies of the classic and iconic album. The group’s members consisted of Ice Cube, Dr.Dre, Eazy-E, DJ Yella and Mc Ren.

Produced entirely by DJ Yella and Dr.Dre, Straight Outta Compton introduced the world to Gangsta Rap and put the West Coast on the Hip Hop map. Praise and controversy surrounded this album which only fueled it continued success. A remastered version was released in 2002, 20th anniversary edition was released in 2007 and in 2015 a film named Straight Outta Compton and a tribute album by Dr. Dre called Compton: A Soundtrack by Dr. Dre will be released. Not bad for a bunch of guys Straight Outta Compton.
