After months of speculation and rumblings of rumors, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, announced Apple’s new subscription based music streaming service on Monday, June 8th at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco.

The new service from the innovative and pioneering tech brand will serve as both an update to the company’s iTunes Store as well as Apple’s response to Spotify and Tidal. As apart of the new service, Apple Music plans to include “revolutionary music service curated by the leading music experts we helped handpick,” a 24/7 worldwide radio station and “Connect,” an “ecosystem” that allows for artists to communicate directly with fans. It seems like apple is really giving the other sites a run for their money by offering better incentives.

CEO, Tim Cook said:

History has had a very rich history of change, some of which we have a part in the next chapter in music.

In addition to the unveiling of Apple Music, Apple also introduced their 24/7 worldwide radio station, Apple Music Beats 1, compiled by former BBC tastemaker Zane Lowe, Hot 97 DJ Ebro Darden and London DJ Julie Adenuga.

CLAP, CLAP BRAVO! Good stuff Apple. The question now, is which service will you be subscribing too?
