While many news outlets reported that Chris Brown had escaped from the Philippines yesterday, it turns out they couldn’t have been more wrong. The singer is still stuck in Manila, the nation’s capital, and has confirmed his mini hostage situation in his most recent Instagram post.

Breezy, who supposedly owes a local promoter a million dollars, has been charged with theft and barred from leaving the country. In a joking manner, the crooner took to his Instagram to ask for help from fellow lightskinned brother President Barack Obama. Watch the drama unfold below.
