Hip Hop My Way caught up with Bronx rapper Bodega Bamz, for an exclusive interview at the sold out KYSS Concert in Williamsburg Brooklyn. The goal of KYSS is to raise awareness about the importance of getting tested and knowing your status.
When approached with the opportunity to sign onto the Lifebeat sponsored project, Bamz did not hesitate.
He said,
“I’m happy to be a part of it, I’m happy to raise awareness of HIV because its serious.”
Bodega Bamz joined popular artists A$AP Ferg, Flatbush Zombies, Po Johnson and International DJ/Producer Zeke Thomas on stage, to entertain thousands of fans that took a free HIV test to get exclusive access to the show.

Bamz has an important message for his fans out there who think fame comes with no risks:
“Even though I’m living this rapper lifestyle, I’m doing the right things to protect myself. You can gain success overnight but as fast as you get it, the faster it can be taken away. I don’t have a Plan B. This is all I got.”
