Young Jeezy sat down for an interview with New York’s Hot 97 show “Ebro in the Morning”, giving insight into his fallout with Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs, his relationship with Jay Z, and also compares himself to the late great Tupac Shakur.
Jeezy explains,
“Hov is a business man, but me and Pac were more so on some revolutionary leadership,”.
“Don’t get me wrong – Hov, that’s my G. At the end of the day, I respect anything he do, but he’s a boss. He makes boss moves. But you have somebody like me and Pac, we’re always on the ground level trying to motivate and inspire the people with my music.”
I don’t know if I would go that far after being branded as the “Snowman” for many years and also the repeated references to selling kilos.
Jeezy said he was more disappointed than anything when speaking about his fallout with Gibbs and how it may have effected his relationship with Eminem.
“When the whole ordeal was going on, I was more disappointed than anything,” said Jeezy. “I messed up a lot of relationships, even with Eminem, just by me putting Gibbs on the record that was for me and, trying to convince Em to do the record, and the record leaking in the process. That burned a great bridge for me.
Eminem is my dude. Me putting [Gibbs] on song with T.I.–putting him on three or four of my mixtapes–and me paying for videos that he didn’t use because when he showed up to the set too late for them to shoot, and it’s all my money. You know what I’m saying?”
