Hailing from the inner city of Philadelphia, DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, hands down have helped the development of Hip Hop. In 1989 they were the first recipients of the newly created “Best Rap Performance” Grammy category and won for “Parent’s Just Don’t Understand.” Their most successful record to date is the summer anthem “Summertime,” which earned them their second Grammy. The duo would move on to very successful ventures in film, television, and DJ equipment products.
