N.W.A. is still America’s most controversial rap group ever. The Compton, California collective consisting of Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC, DJ Yella, and the late great Eazy-E were hip hop’s earliest and most significant founders of gangsta rap and west coast hip hop culture.
