Havoc, Saigon and Jahlil Beats to record and launch Single In Metaverse to Celebrate Hip Hop’s 50th Anniversary

What is The Metaverse?

So it’s beginning to appear that this hype behind the Metaverse is finally coming to the light as these three Hip Hop industry vets are geared up to record, release and distribute a new single via tech startup M-Verse. This is a new innovative Web3 company dedicated to supporting Hip Hop artist. The untitled song is slated to be produced by grammy winner Jahlil Beats, producer of Bobby Shmurda’s “Hot Nigga” and countless other hits. The song will also see Havoc of Mobb Deep and his ex nemesis rapper Saigon writing, recording and ultimately trading verses on what we expect to be a BANGER!

“I wanted to do a song with Mobb Deep while Prodigy was still alive; but he unfortunately passed away before we had the chance to”. Saigon told HipHopMyWay via telephone. “I actually did a song called “We Da Click” with Big Twin from Infamous Mobb on my first mixtape.” he continued. “What a lot of people don’t realize is I was pretty good friends with all of those guys prior to our little altercation.”

The altercation he is speaking of is an incident that occurred back in 2009 when Prodigy and Saigon got into a physical altercation at legendary NYC venues S.O.B’s ! During the incident, Saigon is seen being grabbed from behind by a member of Mobb Deep’s large entourage; and that’s when all hell breaks loose.

Aint No Beef!

Fast forward many years later, once friends turned rivals, turned back friends are collectively doing something fair to be deemed groundbreaking in the Hip Hop space. The two, along with frequent Meek Mill collaborator Jahlil Beats, are giving their fans an rare opportunity to see them create, live in real time.

Saigon says he bought the idea to Havoc while driving back to Connecticut from New York City after interviewing battle rapper Math Hoffa on their new podcast, ‘Nothin’ Is Off The Record’. “I figured after all these years of bickering, why stop at just a doing a podcast, let’s keep working,” he says. “I then called the owners of M.Verse and told them to let us be the first one to record and drop a single in the Metaverse.” he continued, “And if we ain’t the first to do it, were the first official Hip Hop heads to do it.”
