Harlem N.Y. rapper Ma$e Vs. Cam’ron: Who Was The Ignorance King Of New York? rose to infamy as an artist on Diddy’s Bad Boy Record label in the late ’90s. He blazed onto the hip hop scene with his 4x- platinum debut Harlem World. After seemingly retiring from the rap scene, Ma$e has popped up outta nowhere with some harsh words for his former boss, Diddy. He actually accuses Diddy of marketing Biggie’s death.
Ma$e Accused Diddy of Marketing Death
After 20 years, Murda Mase produced a new track he called “Oracle 2: The Liberation Of Mason Betha.” However, the single wasn’t an ordinary song. It was targeted at Diddy, the Bad Boy founder, where Ma$e accused him of marketing Biggie’s death.
He raps, “Yeah, I’m just a Harlem n-gga reppin’ down a Vegas strip with my own Suge/You from Mt. Vernon, n-gga, go and rep your own hood/I’m not hating on your Billi worth/Right now, I’m only saying what you really work/You ain’t no architect/You just a n-gga who know how to market death.”
Ma$e retired from the hip hop industry in 2009 and became a pastor. He was ordained a minister at Clark Atlanta University. Ma$e doesn’t have a cordial relationship with Diddy, as he expressed the bitterness he had towards him in a 2020 Instagram post which he later deleted.
“Your past business practices knowingly continued to purposely starve your artist and been extremely unfair to the very same artist that helped u obtain that Icon Award on the iconic Bad Boy label,” Ma$e wrote. “For example, u still got my publishing from 24 years ago in which u gave me $20k. Which makes me never want to work w/ u as any artist wouldn’t.”
Ma$e also said he offered $2 million to Diddy for his masters, but Diddy wouldn’t receive it. He revealed Diddy said he should beat the “European guy’s” offer. He said over two decades ago, Diddy supposedly paid only $20,000.
“You bought it for about 20k & I offered you 2m in cash,” Ma$e added. “This is not black excellence at all.”
Diddy’s Business Under Scrutiny
Recently, an old clip of Making The Band resurfaced online, which has put Diddy’s business under close watch over the past few weeks.
After former contestants expressed their dissatisfaction about the show online, Diddy replied in an Instagram post saying, “STOP ALL YOUR CRYING, BITCHING & MOANING. HUSTLE HARDER OR GET THE FUCK OUT OF OUR WAY. – LOVE.”
