When you think of hip-hop, chances are Run DMC pops into your head first. Famed for wearing classic shell toe adidas, back in 1986 during a concert at MSG, when the group performed “My adidas,” they asked the audience to put up their adidas in the air. Not knowing that an adidas executive was in the audience, the rap duo soon landed their first endorsement deal setting history for the rap industry.
