Thank God singer Miley Cyrus is okay after her plane made an emergency landing after being struck by lightening. She quickly took to instagram to alert her fans that she was okay after the horrifying incident took place.
“To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción. Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lighting,” Cyrus wrote on Instagram, sharing a video of the storm from a plane window and a picture of the apparently damaged aircraft.
“My crew, band, friends and family who were all traveling with me are safe after an emergency landing,” she added.
“We were unfortunately unable to fly into Paraguay. I LOVE YOU,” Miley added. The singer was flying into Paraguay to headline the Asunciónico music festival on Wednesday.

One would think a plane getting hit by lightening would mean absolute destruction; but thats not the case with 747’s and larger commercial aircrafts. according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, commercial aircraft are designed to take the lightening strikes and conduct the currents.
This is great news for the singer and her crew. Recently an Boeing 737 crashed in China carrying 132 people and they have still yet to find any survivors. This was the worst air disaster in more than a decade.
After watching her IG video, I know she probably sh*t her pants during the ordeal. I would’ve.
